“So then why put on the armor of God? Paul was saying so that we can ‘take our stand against the devil’s schemes.’ He wrote: ‘For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms’ (Ephesians 6:12). This is spiritual warfare and we, therefore, need spiritual armor and weapons of warfare. We are fighting against these evil powers of the world and heavenly realms, and also against the Devil’s evil schemes. So, what are his evil schemes exactly?”
